In Treatment of Diarrhea Diarrhea refers to the passing of loose watery stools three or more times a day. It usually happens due to an infection in the gastrointestinal tract. Vaxflox OR Oral Suspension reduces the excessive secretion of water and electrolytes and helps replenish the lost fluids and salts. It also helps treat loose stools and prevents abdominal distension or flatulence. Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids while taking it to stay hydrated. Your child may start to feel better after getting treated for a few days to a week. However do not extend the course or stop the medicine by yourself without consulting your child’s doctor. This may lead to the recurrence of symptoms.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Vaxflox OR Oral Suspension is to be taken with food.

Vaxflox OR Oral Suspension is given to children to treat the symptoms of acute diarrhea and dysentery caused due to bacterial infections. It kills the diarrhea-causing microorganism restores the level of water and electrolytes and reduces the symptoms severity and duration of illness.Give Vaxflox OR Oral Suspension to your child orally either before or after food. For best results you must also keep giving ORS (oral rehydration solution) throughout the day. Usually Vaxflox OR Oral Suspension is prescribed two times a day once in the morning and once at bedtime. However this dose may vary depending upon your child’s symptoms body weight and age. So adhere to the dose time and way prescribed by the doctor. Repeat the dose if your child vomits within 30 minutes of the intake of Vaxflox OR Oral Suspension. However do not double the dose if it is already time for the next dose.Some children may develop minor and short-term side effects after the intake of this medicine. These include nausea vomiting stomach pain headache skin rash and itching. These episodes are temporary and subside on their own. However in case they persist for long or start bothering your child you must consult your child’s doctor without any delay.Do inform your child’s doctor if your child has ever had any previous episode of allergy bowel obstruction electrolyte imbalance heart problem liver impairment and kidney malfunction. This will guide the doctor in planning your child’s overall treatment.

Q. What if I give too much Vaxflox OR Oral Suspension by mistake?::: Though an extra dose of Vaxflox OR Oral Suspension is unlikely to harm you must immediately speak to the doctor. The reason being overdose may cause unwanted side effects such as seizures tremors severe headache sudden weakness unconsciousness and palpitations (irregularities of heartbeat). In case you notice any of these side effects rush to your child’s doctor on an immediate basis.| Q. My child is one year old and is suffering from a neurological disorder. Is it safe to give Vaxflox OR Oral Suspension?::: Usually Vaxflox OR Oral Suspension does not enter into the central nervous system and lacks the potential to cause serious side effects such as neurotoxicity. However if given to children aged less than 2 years of age it may enter the brain as they have underdeveloped membranes. Can other medicines be given at the same time as Vaxflox OR Oral Suspension?::: Vaxflox OR Oral Suspension can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Therefore it is best to consult your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.| Q. Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Vaxflox OR Oral Suspension?::: Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better the vaccine can be given.
