Mirator 0.5 Tablet is used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease and restless leg syndrome (an urge to move the legs usually accompanied or caused by uncomfortable and unpleasant leg sensations). It helps to treat excessive shaking by slowing down the body movements.Mirator 0.5 Tablet should be taken with food. However take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose take it as soon as you remember it. You should never skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. This medication must not be stopped suddenly without talking to your doctor.Some common side effects of this medicine include nausea dry mouth fatigue hallucinations constipation and peripheral edema. It also causes dizziness and sleepiness so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Inform your doctor if you develop any unusual changes in mood an abnormally high sex drive an urge to gamble or uncontrolled spending as these may prove very harmful.

If you miss a dose of Mirator 0.5 Tablet skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

Does Mirator 0.5 Tablet make you sleepy?::: Yes Mirator 0.5 Tablet may cause sleepiness. You may also experience sudden episodes of falling asleep. How does Mirator 0.5 Tablet work for restless legs?::: Restless leg syndrome (RLS) is a condition that causes discomfort in the legs and a strong urge to move the legs especially at night and when sitting or lying down. Mirator 0.5 Tablet belongs to dopamine (neurotransmitter) agonist class of medicines. It acts by stimulating the dopamine receptors which is needed in the brain to control movement. Hence it is used to improve RLS.| Q. Is Mirator 0.5 Tablet a muscle relaxant?::: No Mirator 0.5 Tablet is not a muscle relaxant. It helps in improving movements and muscle control in Parkinson’s disease. It is a dopamine agonist and acts on dopamine receptors.| Q. Can I stop taking Mirator 0.5 Tablet if my symptoms of Parkinson’s disease have improved?::: You should not stop Mirator 0.5 Tablet without talking to your doctor. Sudden discontinuation of Mirator 0.5 Tablet may cause neuroleptic malignant syndrome. The symptoms of malignant syndrome include loss of muscle movement rigid muscles fever unstable blood pressure increased heart rate confusion and depressed level of consciousness.| Q. What are impulse control disorders caused by Mirator 0.5 Tablet?::: Mirator 0.5 Tablet may cause impulse control disorders in which you may have cravings or urge to behave in an unusual manner which normally you would not do. Along with that it may cause an abnormally high sex drive or preoccupation with an increase in sexual thoughts or feelings.
