Livopam 400 Tablet is a medicine used for the treatment of liver disease associated with reduced bile formation (intrahepatic cholestasis). It protects the liver cells from toxins and helps the liver to perform its normal functions.Livopam 400 Tablet may be taken with or without food. The dose will depend on the severity of your condition and your body weight. It is best swallowed whole but you may need to break them to get the correct dose. This medicine needs to be taken regularly to get the most benefit and you may have to take it for several months or longer so try to get into a routine. Keep using it as prescribed even if your symptoms disappear.Use of this medicine may cause some common side effects such as headache dizziness vomiting upset stomach diarrhea constipation and insomnia. Not everyone gets side effects. If you are worried about them or they do not go away let your doctor know. If you have problems with diarrhea your doctor may reduce the dose or stop the treatment. Drink enough water or fluids to stay hydrated in case of severe diarrhea and constipation.Before taking this medicine you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. Using this medicine can reduce or increase the effect of some other medicines so tell your doctor all other medicines you are taking. Avoid drinking alcohol as it might increase side effects.

- Alcohol : UNSAFE <p> It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Livopam 400 Tablet. | - Pregnancy : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR <p> Livopam 400 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor. | - Breast feeding : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR <p> Information regarding the use of Livopam 400 Tablet during breastfeeding is not available. Please consult your doctor. | - Driving : UNSAFE <p> Livopam 400 Tablet may decrease alertness affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. | - Kidney : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR <p> There is limited information available on the use of Livopam 400 Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor. | - Liver : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED <p> Livopam 400 Tablet is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Livopam 400 Tablet is recommended.

If you miss a dose of Livopam 400 Tablet take it as soon as possible. However if it is almost time for your next dose skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
