Guficap Injection is an antifungal medication. It is used in the treatment of severe fungal infections. It kills the fungi that cause these infections and thus provides relief.Guficap Injection is administered as an injection by a healthcare professional. Kindly do not self-administer. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your doctor may monitor your liver function regularly during treatment.Guficap Injection may lead to a few common side effects like rash decreased potassium level in the blood fever increased liver enzymes chills and diarrhea. You may also notice some injection site reactions like pain swelling or redness. Inform your doctor if these side effects persist for a longer duration. Please consult your doctor if you are pregnant planning to conceive or breastfeeding.

Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. | - Driving : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR <p> It is not known whether Guficap Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react. | - Kidney : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED <p> Guficap Injection is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Guficap Injection is recommended. | - Liver : CAUTION <p> Guficap Injection should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Is Guficap Injection an antibiotic?::: Yes Guficap Injection is an antifungal antibiotic. It kills the fungi and yeast causing serious infections and helps in clearing the infection.| Q. How is Guficap Injection administered?::: Guficap Injection should be administered as an injection into a vein under the supervision of a trained healthcare professional or a doctor only usually once a day. It should be injected slowly over 1 hour and should not be self-administered. The dose will depend on the condition you are being treated for and will be decided by your doctor. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully to get maximum benefit from Guficap Injection.| Q. What does Guficap Injection target?::: Guficap Injection targets an essential component of the outermost layer (cell wall) of the fungus called beta-(13)-D-glucan. This component is present in the Aspergillus species and Candida species but not present in mammalian cells. Guficap Injection stops the synthesis of this component and this kills the fungus inhibits further growth thereby clearing the infection.| Q. Is Guficap Injection effective?::: Guficap Injection is effective if used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking it even if you see improvement in your condition. If you stop using Guficap Injection too early the symptoms may return or worsen.
