In Treatment of Dry eyes Normally your eyes produce enough natural tears to help them move easily and comfortably and to remove dust and other particles. If they do not produce enough tears they can become dry red and painful. Dry eyes can be caused by wind sun heating computer use and some medications. 1% keeps your eyes lubricated and can relieve any dryness and pain. They will also help protect your eyes from injury and infection. This medicine is safe to use with few side effects. If you wear soft contact lenses you should remove them before applying the drops.

How to use:

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.

1% is an eye lubricant or artificial tears used to relieve dry eyes. This can happen because not enough tears are made to keep the eye lubricated. It helps to soothe the irritation and burning seen in dry eyes by maintaining proper lubrication of the eyes.1% is usually taken when needed. Use the number of drops as advised by your doctor. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering any other medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Do not use a bottle if the seal is broken before you open it. Always wash your hands and do not touch the end of the dropper. This could infect your eye. This medicine may require long-term use and can be taken safely for as long as you need it.The most common side effects of using this medicine are blurred or altered vision redness or irritation and sometimes pain in the eye. Let your doctor know if you experience these symptoms but they are usually temporary. Do not drive use machinery or do any activity that requires clear vision until you are sure you can do it safely. Consult your doctor if your condition does not improve or if the side effects bother you.This medicine is not likely to affect or be affected by other medicines you use but tell your doctor if you have ever had glaucoma. Do not use it while wearing soft contact lenses and talk to your doctor if you develop an eye infection while using it.

What are the side effects of 1%?::: You may experience visual disturbances and eye discharge while using this medicine. Some other side effects of this medicine include redness of the eye eye irritation burning and discomfort eyelid swelling and itching of the eye. If any of these side effects bother you please consult your doctor.| Q. How should 1% be stored?::: Store at or below 25°C and out of the reach of children. Do not touch the tip of the container to any surface or eye(s). Replace the cap after every use. Remember not to use the eye drops after the expiry date or after 30 days of opening it.| Q. How should 1% be used?::: If you are using it for dry eyes instil 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed. If you are using it to lubricate soft and rigid gas-permeable lenses apply 1 to 2 drops to each eye with the lenses on as needed or as directed by your doctor. Blink several times after pouring the drops. Consult your doctor if not sure.| Q. Is 1% bad?::: No 1% is a safe medicine. It is meant for external use only and is not harmful. However in some patients 1% may cause eye irritation (burning and discomfort) eye pain itchy eyes and visual disturbance. Immediately contact your doctor if any of these effects perists.
